Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Car Model

Cooperation between the German cars manufacturers Mercedes-Benz with several Russian companies persist to run.  In recent times, Mercedes publicized that it has an agreement with Russia’s GAZ local vehicle manufacturers, to bring together Mercedes-Benz Sprinter models. According to the plan, minibus car will be assembled in a factory possessed by GAZ NizhnyNovgorod, with the investment of EUR 100 million.  With an investment of that, Nizhny Novgorod will make engines, transmissions, axles, and other components with high local content.

“Russia is a gorgeous place to invest, and have an enormous opportunity to carry on growing. That’s why Daimler has made a long-term dedication with GAZ, “said Dieter Zetsche, CEO of Daimler.

Planned, production facilities will be completed totally in 2011, and is ready to make about 25,000 units each year.  "This collaboration will assist to raise consumer characteristics and reliability of the models themselves GAZ. Sprinter Van is predictable that around 25,000 will be produced in Russia. The second company expects to expand well-enter the relevant market segment in Russia," said President of GAZ, Bo Anderson.  In the United States, the Sprinter comes in an option of inline four-cylinder engine 2148 cc engine capable of producing power by 88 to 150 hp.  It is also offered configured engine 24 valve DOHC V6 that can produce power from 184 hp to 258 hp.
