San Diego International Auto Show 2011

The annual San Diego International Auto Show starts a four-day run at the Convention Center Thursday.

There are approximately 400 cars displayed but there's only one brand meant for a special driver, as well as forty-four year old Angela Cook. A sad motorcycle accident at the ripe age of 19 left her paralyzed from the waist down.

"To believe similar to I can't do something, well you might as well wave a flag in front of a bull since that's not the way I function," said Cook.

But with the aid of Golden Boy Mobility, a company that assists paraplegics drive, Angela has gained her independence. Everything is managed from the steeling wheel.

The demonstrate features salutes to five decades of the Ford Mustang and to Volkswagen vans, an iconic vehicle in a surfing community.

There are also vintage cars, as well as one that wedged my attention, the 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Seville and it stretches 20 feet long.

Some of the more luxurious models comprise a 2008 Ferrari Spider with a price tag of almost $200,000.

Organizers say this is perhaps the most interactive show they've ever had. The show starts on December 30th and runs until January 2nd.
